MEET THE CREW
The black ain’t so bad—if your people have your back.
Mitsu R’Ikeda
Role: Captain
Age: 27
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 158 lbs
Zodiac Sign: Pisces (Carries wounds like armor. Leads like he’s got nothing left to lose.)
Favorite Drink: Black coffee, no cream, no questions
Favorite Song: White Flag – Bishop Briggs
Specialty: leadership under pressure, high-tier tactics, and tightbeam deception
Bio:
Noble-born and unknowingly altered, Mitsu chose his name the day he ran. Cool under pressure, sharp behind the eyes, and loyal to a fault—but never unbroken. The Captain of the Moirai carries ghosts, secrets, and a knife-edged calm. He was built to lead. They taught him to obey. He’s still deciding which wins.
Fun Fact: Mitsu once passed a Second Tier lie detector test while actively dissociating. The machine shorted out. He never looked back.
Gunner Lao
Role: Pilot
Age: 48
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 210 lbs
Zodiac Sign: Capricorn (All spine, no spotlight—he shoulders the weight so no one else has to.)
Favorite Drink: Straight bourbon, but only if it’s cheap and earned
Favorite Song: Fortunate Son – Creedence Clearwater Revival
Specialty: Aerial maneuvering under fire, evasive tactics, combat landing
Bio:
Once a decorated warhawk with more confirmed kills than medals, Gunner Lao walked away from the First Tier military the day they told him which lives weren’t worth saving. These days, he flies the Moirai through hellscapes and debris fields with a scowl, a cracked knuckle, and a muttered insult for every AI system ever coded. Gruff, sharp-eyed, and perpetually unimpressed, Gunner’s not here to make friends—he’s here to keep the crew alive, no matter how stupid their plans.
He doesn’t say much, but when he does? Listen.
Especially if it starts with “Back in my day…”
He pretends not to care. He always comes back.
Fun Fact: Gunner’s been court-martialed three times. Acquitted twice. The third one? Let’s just say the other guy didn’t walk away.
Kazuhiro “Hiro” Hasukawa
Role: Medic
Age: 31
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 165 lbs
Zodiac Sign: Virgo (Stitches wounds with grace—and cuts ties just as clean when pushed too far.)
Favorite Drink: Sweetened iced matcha
Favorite Song: Saturn - Sleeping at Last
Specialty: Battlefield triage, pharmacological improvisation, quiet intervention
Bio:
The only reason the Moirai crew hasn’t killed each other yet? Hiro.
Earnest, intuitive, and soft-spoken in five languages, Kazuhiro Hasukawa serves as the crew’s medic, conscience, and occasional therapist. He’s the kind of man who disinfects your wounds while quietly letting you cry, and then casually stitches your self-esteem back together afterward.
Raised in a Third Tier enclave with strict values and an even stricter father, Hiro learned early how to care for others—sometimes to his own detriment. He knows the difference between kindness and codependence, but he hasn’t quite figured out how to choose himself. Not yet.
He sees the best in everyone. He’s learning to extend that grace to himself.
Fun Fact: Hiro once talked a dying soldier through his final moments in three different languages—because none of them knew which one the man could still understand.
Kazuya “Suka” Hasukawa
Role: Tower Gunner/Muscle
Age: 21
Height: 6’1”
Weight: 190 lbs
Zodiac Sign: Gemini (Talks big, fights bigger; built like a battering ram with a martyr complex.)
Favorite Drink: Anything with bubbles—especially cheap soda or fruity sparkling wine
Favorite Song: Midwest Indigo – Twenty One Pilots
Specialty: Brute-force tactics, suppressive fire, last-man-standing gambits
The younger Hasukawa brother, Suka is fire and flinch, chaos and charm. Where Hiro is careful and kind, Suka is bold and brash—though it’s clear he’s modeled much of his heart after his big brother. Once a street brawler with too much rage and not enough purpose, he found direction aboard the Moirai—and a kind of peace in loyalty.
He’s not the smartest, not the fastest, but when it comes to brute force, fast reflexes, and watching his crew’s six, Suka’s unmatched. He might act like a punk, but push comes to shove? He’ll bleed for the ones who gave him a home.
Fun Fact: Suka once tried to arm wrestle Brek. Dislocated his own shoulder. Called it a tie.
Brek
Role: Engineer
Age: 36
Height: 5'3"
Weight: 230 lbs (dense muscle & modmass)
Zodiac Sign: Taurus (Fixes things—ships, systems, people. Not because he wants to—because they’re his.)
Favorite Drink: Electrobrew with grease chaser
Theme Song: Iron - Woodkid
Specialty: Crawlspace combat, vertical traversal, improvised repairs under fire
Bio:
Brek’s body was rebuilt in a Tier 3 chop shop—arms lengthened, core reinforced, nerves stripped and rewired for high-load tasks and vertical traversal. They called it simian-grade modwork. What it really means? Brek can climb, crush, or fix damn near anything—and survive places no sane person would crawl into.
Opposable thumbs on hands and feet. Nose tuned too sharp for comfort. No tail (his one boundary), but enough hair, heat mesh, and brow plating to trigger Second Tier alarms.
He doesn’t talk about the years between modification and the Moirai, but they left marks deeper than code. He’s not sentimental—but if your bunk’s overheating, your wiring’s shot, or your pulse is off by a beat, Brek will fix it without being asked. Then call you a dumbass for not saying anything sooner.
Fun Fact: Keeps spare tools and snacks in his shoulder mesh. Once beat a drone to death with a torque wrench he named Susan. No one else is allowed to touch Susan.
Rigo Salazar
Role: Navigator
Age: 29
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 170 lbs
Zodiac Sign: Aquarius (He doesn’t steer the ship. He reroutes inevitability.)
Favorite Drink: Black tea with condensed milk
Theme Song: Unknown / Nth - Hozier
Specialty: Hyperspatial plotting, navigational overlays, deep drift intuition
Bio:
Rigo was born in the Drift—a scatter of outposts and signal ghosts beyond the mapped lanes. He doesn’t speak much about his childhood, but it left him with a talent for silence and a sixth sense for spatial rhythm. On the Moirai, he serves as navigator, sensor specialist, and the one most likely to detect something long before it becomes a problem.
His command of the ship’s star charts borders on uncanny. Brek calls him “the ghost-whisperer”; Mitsu once joked he doesn’t pilot through space, he listens to it. Rigo doesn’t argue. He just adjusts the course five seconds before the danger hits.
Fun Fact: Keeps a talisman made from driftglass in his bunk. Has only ever lost a bet to Suka—once.
Trout
Role: Unknown
Age: 9? 10? Never ask a lady how old she is.
Height: 4'2"
Weight: 54 lbs
Zodiac Sign: Cancer (But if you ask her, she’ll say “moonlight”)
Favorite Drink: Strawberry milk
Theme Song: The Moon Will Sing - The Crane Wives
Specialty: Undefined. Possibly everything. Possibly nothing.
Bio:
No last name. No origin file. Just Trout—a small girl with a mismatched wardrobe, scuffed boots, and eyes that see too much. She was found in a derelict corridor outside an abandoned lab, clutching a lollipop and humming a song no one recognized.
She doesn’t speak often. But when she does, people listen—because it never feels like she’s guessing. It feels like she knows.
On the Moirai, she drifts between roles: co-pilot shadow, wiring apprentice, quiet observer. She braids Morgan’s hair. She sits by Shin when he’s thinking. She sleeps curled up near the engine core, as if it dreams too.
The crew isn’t sure what she is. A stray? A prodigy? Something older in a borrowed shape?
But she belongs to them now. And they to her.
Fun Fact: Has never lost a game of hide-and-seek. Once told Rigo his own birthday—he hadn’t even known it himself.
OUTLIERS & OATHBREAKERS
Some carry pasts. Some carry warnings. All ended up on board.
Shinobu “Shin” Casarin
Role: Empath
Age: 32
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 145 lbs
Zodiac Sign: Scorpio (You’ll never know how close he came to breaking. That’s the point.)
Favorite Drink: Plum wine—never more than half a glass
Theme Song: My Body is a Cage - Arcade Fire
Specialty: Psychic extraction, emotional subterfuge, truth drawn with surgical calm
Bio:
Shinobu Casarin was trained on Avalon—raised in the shadow of the Assembly and shaped by Nuada d’Argent’s clinical vision. A Third Tier empath turned precision weapon, he was never quite Guardian, never quite free. At sixteen, they called it service. He called it exile.
Now aboard the Moirai, Shinobu watches more than he speaks. Reads more than he reveals. His voice is soft, his touch careful, and his mind a blade honed on grief. Mitsu calls him a liability. Morgan calls him a manipulator. Trout just sits beside him like she understands.
He never asked to be part of this crew. But he hasn’t left.
Fun Fact: Knows the scent of every crewmember’s baseline emotion. Brek smells like burnt metal. Mitsu smells like a storm trying not to break.
Morgan le Freya
Role: Guardian (retired?)
Age: 35
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 152 lbs
Zodiac Sign: Aries (Built as a weapon. Still learning how to be a person.)
Favorite Drink: Cold brew with protein powder
Theme Song: Dynasty – MIIA
Specialty: Tactical assault, leadership override, controlled obliteration
Bio:
Morgan le Freya was once the Guardian Commander they called The Morrígu—an executioner in all but name, known for impossible missions and even harder decisions. The First Tier shaped her. The Guardians praised her. And when they sent her to die, she survived instead.
Now aboard the Moirai, Morgan is a woman out of step with herself. Her spine still clicks into parade rest. Her voice still commands a room. But something broke in her after Avalon—and it wasn’t just her faith.
She doesn’t trust easily. Doesn’t joke. Doesn’t flinch.
But she braided Trout’s hair once. And she stayed.
Fun Fact: Has memorized every Moirai crewmember’s combat profile—but keeps Shin’s file in a locked box, unopened.
Charybdis “Char”
Role: Assassin. Oracle. Shah of Knives.
Age: Unknown (appears mid-40s; fights like myth)
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 195 lbs
Zodiac Sign: Leo (Nine lives; nine knives—and none drawn lightly.)
Favorite Drink: Gokenin’s Shadow. Neat.
Theme Song: Believer – Imagine Dragons
Specialty: Stealth infiltration, kill-order execution, prophecy through blood
Bio:
He was bred for shadows and raised in blades. A catman of the Ninth Pride, Charybdis earned every scar and every title: infiltrator, gokenin, myth. Once, he served a noble house. Once, he took an oath to a boy with storm-colored eyes.
Then that boy vanished. And Char was left with nothing but knives—and a name no one else spoke.
Now aboard the Moirai, Char is both weapon and ghost. He prowls its corridors with too-quiet steps, vanishes for days, and returns with intel no one asked for but everyone needed. He speaks rarely. Smiles even less.
But when Mitsu is in danger, Char moves like gravity forgot to hold him.
Fun Fact: His ship was named The Ninth Vow. He never speaks of the other eight.
